Kelly Clarkson’s sophomore album had certainly been long awaited by her loyal fans whom she had gained after winning the American Idol (Season 1). With 1′451′000 copies sold in the first two years of her second studio album release, it is no wonder why she is one of the most successful pop artists out there.With her first single from this album, Breakaway already being debuted in the Disney movie: Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement, this was no doubt the reason of the album’s sky-soaring sales.Singles which followed: Since U Been Gone, Behind These Hazel Eyes, Because of You and Walk Away all followed the same success, being able to gain top positions in the US Billboard Hot 100 at one point or another.
This album offers the usual pop-music genre buzz about love. But make no mistake, this album is worth buying just for that. Kelly’s vocals are well-done in this album and no doubt, you will be extremely satisfied with it.
It has everything to offer: broken love, falling in love, a strained relationship, and yes – even hope. Melancholic and emotional tracks like Behind These Hazel Eyes, Gone, Hear Me and Addicted is worth for those who prefer their music that way.
For those trying to get over a broken relationship minus the emotional moments of tears, Walk Away and Since U Been Gone is a good way to dispel those hanging emotions.
And of course, there are tracks which still goes on about love. For that, seek refuge in You Found Me and Beautiful Disaster (Live) and trust me, you will not be disappointed. My only complaint is that the track Beautiful Disaster (Live) does not live up to it’s album/studio version in her previous album, Thankful.
Like many others, I find this album tuning about the normal love stories, but I believe what draws me to praise this album, is Kelly’s extremely good vocal and the way she tells the love songs in her own style which no doubt captivates me. This is a must-have whether you’re a fan of Kelly Clarkson or not!
And if you ask me own personal opinion, Where Is Your Heart is a definite “Worth 1000″ of this album. It’s just a pity it was never made into a single.
